The symposium brought together local researchers working on the broad theme of “cells within cells”, featuring talks and discussions ranging from intracellular organelles and organisms to symbiotic relationships in superorganisms. |

| Sep 14, 2025 | Attended the EMBO|FEBS Lecture Course: The Evolving Role of Mitochondria in Metabolism in Belgrade, Serbia. Presented my work on the statistical modeling of a somatic mtDNA bottleneck from our recent mtDNA-smFISH study and served as a panelist on Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion. The conference highlighted technical advances and was full of stimulating discussions on the evolving landscape of mitochondrial biology. |

| Oct 09, 2024 | Joined the MRC Mitochondrial Biology Unit at the University of Cambridge as a Bioinformatician! I’ll be working with Dr. Jelle van den Ameele, Prof. Rita Horvath and Prof. Patrick Chinnery on analyzing mitochondrial heteroplasmy and its role in human mitochondrial diseases. |
| Jun 10, 2024 | Participated in the EMBO Population Genomics: Background and Tools Course in Naples, Italy. Presented a poster on the use of Approximate Bayesian Computation in detecting sexually antagonistic selection. Lots of in-depth discussions on the use of population genomic tools in understanding complex evolutionary processes. |
